The New Fender American Professional II Precision Bass in Miami Blue is upon us! The Performer Series received some massive upgrades over the original version including update V Mod Pickups, upgraded hardware, and a new 63 neck profile with rolled fingerboard edges. Finished in the brand new and quite striking finish called Miami Blue (much like Taos Turquoise, actually), this beauty plays as good as it looks!
The ultra-playable neck on this P Bass is made from a piece of maple then topped with a Maple Fingerboard. The neck features a 63 C Profile arguably one of the most comfortable neck profiles of all time! The back of the neck has what Fender calls the Super Natural Finish which simulates the feel of natural wood. It's a satin urethane that is super durable yet thin. With a nut width of 1.625" along with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, 20 narrow-tall frets, and a bone nut, this bass feels as good as it sounds!
The New V Mod II P-Bass Pickups have been revamped to be more articulate, and maintain their Fender-esque qualities. A master volume and master tone are tied to the single P Bass pickup so this instrument is about as easy to navigate as they get! Fat, punchy, aggressive, assertive, this P-Bass sounds awesome!
A bevy of cool new colors is available and Miami Blue is like staring off into a tranquil sea! Very much like Taos Turquoise but with the saturation cranked up a few notches, this may be the new favorite of all the new offerings. . We are stoked to see Fender stepping out of the Black, White, Sunburst cycle and are loving these new colors!
