Introducing our Fender Custom Shop 1967 Telecaster Custom Journeyman Relic! The 1st to arrive, this is a cool Late 60s style Tele with a Wide Range Humbucker in the neck position and an Original Blackguard for the bridge pickup.
The body of this guitar is Swamp Ash, the tonewood used on the earliest Teles. This bright-sounding tonewood has a strong KERRANG when strummed. Finished in Crimson Red Transparent, the grain of the Ash peers through the finish for added depth.
The neck is made from AA Flame, Quarter Sawn Maple, and shaped to a 60-style oval C profile. It measures .850" in depth at the 1st fret and .920" at the 12th. The fingerboard is made from plain maple, has a 9.5" fingerboard radius, and 6105 frets. It's a full-feeling neck that isn't too cumbersome. Other mentionables include Schaller F Key Tuners, a Bullet Truss Adjust, and a 4-Bolt Neck design.
A Wide Range Humbucker in the neck position and a hand-wound Original Blackguard Bridge Pickup combine for tones that span genres and decades. Each pickup has its own controls for volume and tone. A 3-way pickup selector switch makes getting the right tone easy.
