They have been a long time favorite of our’s and… judging from how many we’ve sold, the top choice for many of you as well! These pickups have their roots in the ’50s but with a little more output making the volume and tone controls on your guitar more useful than ever. These were even offered for a year or 2 on The American Standard because of their broad appeal. When put together with classic Stratocaster controls, the Fender Custom Shop Fat 50's Single Coil Pickups behave beautifully. Set your tube amp to overdrive and then control the amount of drive with the volume control on the guitar. The tone rolls off sweetly as well, turning a perhaps treble-heavy guitar sound more tamed.
