This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Knotty Pine Telecaster Thinline in Chocolate Three Tone Sunburst weighs 6 lbs 3 oz and is drop-dead gorgeous! We didn't know what to expect when this Thinline Tele arrived but upon opening the case, we were all stunned! Roasted Pine Body, AA Birdseye Maple Neck, AAA Rosewood Fingerboard, and Hand-Wound Pickups combine to make a guitar worthy of any collection. But the Chocolate Three Tone Sunburst with tortoise binding sets this thing off and certainly makes this one of the most striking guitars in the shop!
The book-matched Knotty Pine top is finished in Chocolate Three Tone Sunburst! It's 100% perfect for this guitar! The book-matched knots provide a one-of-a-kind look. The top is paired with a chambered roasted pine body. The awesome tortoise binding adds a little nuance to its unique look. Topped off with a customized Cabronita style pickguard, there truly is nothing else like this in the shop!
The neck is made from AA Roasted Birdseye Maple, which looks as good as it feels. It's carved to a Mid 60s Oval C profile that measures in at .820" and .880" at the 12th fret. The fingerboard is made from a AAA rate piece of Rosewood which Is dark and rich-looking. A 9.5" fingerboard radius makes this a fine playing guitar while the 21 Narrow Tall frets give you a glass-like surface to work with. 25.5" scale length, 1.650" nut width, and a Bone Nut round out the neck specs.
A set of Hand-Wound Loaded Nocaster Single-Coil Pickups are installed in this guitar. Based on the Nocaster Pickup platform but with some tweaks that make it play nice with modern amps and pedals, this is a phenomenal sound single-coil pickup worthy of being installed in a phenomenal guitar. A master volume, master tone, and three-way pickup selector switch round out the controls.
