Most often we see Clapton and Beck Strats from Todd but every few years, we get one of these... A super slick-looking Strat with a flat black finish and loads of chrome accouterments like Lipstick covers on hand-wound 50s spec Strat pickups!
The body is made from Alder which helps the guitar weigh 7 lbs 7 oz. The flat black (or satin or matte) finish is striking. It is further complimented by the 1 Ply Black Pickguard. Everything else is dripping with chrome! From the pickup covers to the "Harley" Style Knobs and Switch-Tip, to the bridge and output jack, the contrast of ultra-black and super shiny looks absolutely phenomenal!
The neck is made from Highly Figured Maple and features the same profile you'll experience on the Eric Clapton Strat. It features a perfectly sculpted Soft V Profile with the WLS Coating, a finish that is always fast, dry, and smooth. The neck measures .82" deep at the 1st fret and .92" deep at the 12th. Jescar 45085 Frets are a bit larger than Vintage Frets. This, along with a 9.5" fingerboard radius, adds a slightly more modern feel to the board. It has a Bi-Fle Truss Rod which means making seasonal adjustments is quick and easy. 1.65" nut width, a bone nut, and 25.5" scale length round out the details for the neck.
The pickups are a trio of Hand-Wound 50s Specs Single-Coil Pickups installed in a set of Chrome Lipstick Covers. The look is as fantastic as the tones! Bright, Woody, Vocal, and Expressive, this guitar has TONE! A master volume, 2 tone controls, and a 5-way switch help you find your sound easily.
