This Fender Vintera 60s Telecaster Modified in Lake Placid Blue is brand new and included its original gig bag and manufacturer's warranty. This electric guitar weighs 8 lbs 2 oz.
Looks vintage, and plays modern! The Vintera Modified Series combines classic visual appointments along with some modern specs that make the majority of players happy. Things like medium jumbo frets and a 9.5" fingerboard radius make play up the neck and bending easier. The 4-way pickup switch adds a humbucker-ish or neck P-90 kind of tone to a Tele and an out-of-phase switch really turns things upside down!
The neck is made from maple and carved to a 60s C profile. Its fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro and carries a 9.5" fingerboard radius. 22 medium jumbo frets make big bends and vibrato easier. A classic Fender nut width of 1.65 places the strings in a familiar place while 25.5" scale length keeps the strings taut and sounding snappy.
A set of Hot 60s Telecaster Single Coil Pickups bring some added output to the mix. Cutting back on the master volume control a smidge brings them back down to a more vintage output. A master tone control allows to you taper the top end, a handy control on a bright guitar. As mentioned before, a 4-way pickup selector switch gives you the 3 traditional Tele positions plus an added position that adds Series functionality. An S1 switch in the Volume Control flips the phase on the pickups.
An Alder body helps this guitar weigh 8 lbs 2 oz. It's finished in Lake Placid Blue, another favorite automotive color with a fine metallic flake. An Alder Body matched with the darker and denser Pau Ferro fingerboard makes this the perfect Tele to play with drive and distortion.
