This Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s in Heritage Cherry Sunburst weighs 9 lbs 7 oz. This electric guitar is brand new, and includes its full manufacturer's warranty, and original hardshell case. The Music Gallery is an Authorized Gibson Dealer.
The Les Paul Standard 50s combines a mahogany body with a carved and AA Figured Maple Top. This tonewood combo offers a thick tone along with a beautifully clear top-end. Finished in 100% nitrocellulose over a gorgeous Heritage Cherry Burst finish. The top is bound with a single ply of cream to complete the traditional Les Paul Standard look.
The neck is made from Mahogany and topped with a bound Rosewood fingerboard. The neck is carved to a rounded 50s profile that is thicker than a 60s profile but still not as big as Custom Shop Reissue models. There are 22 medium jumbo frets installed which provide a smooth as glass playing surface. Being Plek'ed at the Gibson Factory sure doesn't hurt either!
A Burstbucker 1 is in the neck position, and a Burstbucker 2 is in the bridge. These pickups are made with Alnico 2 magnets. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control. A 3-way switch and Orange Drop caps cover the remaining details.
