The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s in Iced Tea was made for those who prefer a thin-neck. It is the perfect LP to nail the look, and sound of dozens of legendary players. Mahogany, Maple, and Rosewood combine for the classic tonewood recipe that has served thousands of players, worldwide since its inception.
The Les Paul Standard 60s has a solid mahogany body with an AA figured maple top. This tonewood combo is well-known for body, sustain, and top-end compression. The body is not weight relieved so you have a real, solid-body guitar here! The Iced Tea finish allows you to see all the flames from center to edge and gives us a nice lighter looking burst.
The 60s Les Paul Standard is equipped with a slim-taper, 60s-style mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, and trapezoid inlays. The fingerboard radius measures in at 12" while the scale length is classic Gibson at 24.75". 22 Medium Jumbo Frets give you the perfect playing surface. This is the Shred-Friendly neck profile that many rock and progressive players gravitate to. It's easily the fastest profile Gibson makes and has been the choice of countless players since 1960.
Hardware-wise, it's equipped with a classic-style Tune-O-Matic bridge, aluminum stop bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatic "Kidney" tuners, and gold top-hat knobs with silver reflectors. The 60s Burstbucker pickups are loaded with AlNiCo V magnets, CTS audio taper potentiometers, and orange drop capacitors.
