The Martin D-45 is made with premium-grade woods. It pairs Sitka Spruce with East Indian Rosewood. This recipe provides fantastic projection, a harmonically dense tone, that is warm and rich with a sweet, bell-like top-end.
The neck is made from Genuine Mahogany and is shaped to Martin's Modified Low Oval Profile with their High-Performance Taper. This is a very comfortable and easy neck to play, even for extended periods of time. The fingerboard is made from Ebony which has the large 45-Style Hexagonal Inlays made of Abalone for an absolutely striking look. Bright, iridescent colors explode off from the inlays, accentuated further by the black Ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard is bound with Antique White binding, completing its High-End look perfectly.
