The Taylor 714ce WSB Western Sunburst Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a beautiful vintage style sunburst that seems to make the guitar glow! A Lutz Spruce Top is paired with solid Rosewood Back and Sides for a harmonically dense, warm, rich-sounding acoustic guitar.
Lutz Spruce is offered considered to sound like Old Growth Adirondack Spruce. Adirondack is loved for its extra stiffness that allows for more volume, a faster attack, and a brighter sound perfect for competing with mandolins and banjos. Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides provide a harder, denser wood that reflects the tone and helps the guitar boom. Ringing chords sound sweet and they bloom before decaying with musical sustain. A Tropical Mahogany Neck is topped with a West African Ebony Fingerboard.
Taylor's V Class Bracing is designed to allow for stiffness and flexibility, a tricky combo, indeed! V Class bracing is all about volume and sustain but the projection is what is truly impressive. The Lutz Spruce and the V Class Bracing certainly help this guitar to be heard!
Taylor Guitars has been around since 1974 and Bob Taylor has been there every step along the way. Taylor Guitars changed the entire Acoustic Guitar industry making them more playable, easier on the fingers, and more and more tuneful. From incorporating modern manufacturing techniques that have allowed for much easier repairs to developing great sounding but easy to use electronic systems, Taylor Guitars as always been THE player-driven acoustic guitar manufacturer.
