This Used 2001 Fender FSR American Vintage 62 Stratocaster in Aged Ice Blue Metallic is here on trade. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. The guitar is in great cosmetic shape and it has a very nice fingerboard on it. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
This guitar is part of a Factory Special Run (FSR) from 2001 in Ice Blue Metallic with a Matching Headstock. The color has aged and patinaed thanks to its nitro finish. It looks more like a Sage Green Metallic now, an equally cool color! Consider this guitar a pre-cursor to the American Vintage II Series that is currently avalable.
The neck is made from maple and it has a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard radius is 7.25" and it has 21 Narrow Tall Frets so it has a vintage feel which was par for the course with the AVRI guitars from this era. Other neck specs are 1.65" nut width, a bone nut, and 25.5" scale.
The pickups are a set of American Vintage Reissue 62 Stratocaster Single Coils tied to a 5-way switch, a master volume, and two tone controls. This guitar has a warm sweetness to it perfect for blues or rock.
