This Used 2016 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt 62 Rosewood Stratocaster NOS by Jason Smith is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Included with the guitar are the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This guitar was part of a large collection so it didn't see extensive play. This is an absolutely stunning guitar!
Masterbuilder Jason Smith only builds stellar instruments. He is loved for his craftsmanship and particularly his relic work. This guitar, however, is a NOS or New Old Stock model meaning it is free and clear of any wear and tear. It's gorgeous with dark, sultry-looking Rosewood for the body that gives this guitar a unique vibe. It has a satin finish on the neck and body for a more subdued look than full gloss.
The neck is also made of Rosewood but carries a 10/56 V neck profile most often seen on late 50s Strats. It measures .880" deep at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12h fret. The fingerboard has a 7.25 radius and Jescar 45085 frets for a slightly taller-than-vintage feel. 1.65" nut width, bone nut material, and 25.5" scale round out the neck numericals.
A set of Abigail Ybarra Hand-wound 60s spec Stratocaster Single Coil Pickups sounds divine! These warm, rich-sounding pickups are the perfect compliment for the Rosewood Strat. A master volume, 2 tone controls, and a 5-way switch make finding your sound a breeze!
