This Used Martin Custom Shop D-45 with Slope Shoulders and Slotted Peghead is here on consignment and it is in great shape. It is clean, cosmetically, and it is fully functioning. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
We were the original dealer for this guitar a few years back and are happy to see it again! We ordered several configurations of the D-45 Model, this was my personal favorite. The coolest features include the woods, 12 frets clear of the body design, the slotted peghead, and the slope shoulders. Let's get into the details!
The Guatemalan Rosewood back and sides are gorgeous! This stunning tonewood looks as good as it sounds. With a rich, harmonic density that seems to throw sound all over the room, plus the addition of an Adirondack Spruce top allows this acoustic to go to 11! The "Golden Era" braces are also made from 5/16" Adirondack Spruce and are scalloped for maximum top flexibility.
The neck is made from Select Hardwood (either Mahogany or Sapele) and is topped with an Ebony Fingerboard that sports a 16" radius. The neck profile is the Performing Artist, a neck shape concocted with long hours practicing or on stage in mind. Exceptionally comfortable and easy to play, the neck on this guitar feels perfect! 1 and 3/4" nut width, 25.34" Scale Length, and some tasty European Flame Maple as fingerboard binding cover many of the important details.
Nobody treats used guitars as we do at The Music Gallery! Every trade-in goes through an inspection, cleaning, restring, and set up before being put out on sale. We even put guitars with bad frets through our Plek machine if need be. If this service piques your interest learn more here or give us a call!
