This Used 2023 Gibson Explorer in Antique Natural is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. It's in great cosmetic shape as well with nothing negative worth mentioning. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case.
The pickups are currently a set of Bare Knuckle Black Dog Humbuckers. We do not have the original pickups. The tuners have also been swapped out for a set of Locking Hipshot Tuners in gold. We do not have the original tuners either. The bridge pieces have also been swapped over to gold-plated versions.
The Explorer was introduced in 1958 and it has always been a less-often-seen model compared to the Les Paul, SG, and the ES-335. However, it's been seen with bands across a wide range of genres with players like James Hetfield of Metallica, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Mathias Jabs, and The Edge, the Explorer can be at home in any genre.
